Amazon Private Brands Product Infographics

Defining and expanding a new type of product marketing content for select Amazon private brands.

As Amazon’s hardline private brands (including Amazon Basics, Denali, AmazonCommercial) explored opportunities to optimize content, I pitched the idea to feature infographics on the product detail pages, knowing we were missing the bar compared to other sellers.

What are product infographics? They are an image on a product detail page that includes graphic details to communicate product information that may be challenging to understand without visual or graphic aids. They may be a stand-alone 2D graphic, like a size chart, or a combination of product imagery with text and/or graphic overlays.

We started with one experiment that grew into a pilot, then a stand-alone project, and now it is a recognized and standardized part of the detail page content toolkit. I partnered with multiple agencies to test and refine the process over 1.5 years. From these learnings, I created a 75-page end-to-end playbook, which outlines 12 types of graphics, and how to build and publish them.

Today, thousands of these graphics are present on Amazon.
